There is a gold rush happening in Ethiopia, but it’s not a hunt for the yellow metal. It’s a quest for the green gold of fertile farmland. A nation more associated with periodic famine and acute childhood malnutrition than with agricultural bounty is leasing millions of hectares — an area the size of Belgium — to foreign companies, who want to grow and export food to places like Saudi Arabia, China, India, and Europe.

One-third of the fertile Gambella area in western Ethiopia, for example, is being leased for the next 50 years by the Bangalore-based food company Karuturi Global. Forests are being clear-cut, swamps drained, rivers diverted, and whole villages moved to make way for flower farms and palm-oil and rice plantations. “It is very good land. It is quite cheap…. Antidepressants and Violent Behavior: What Nobody is Talking About

The mind is prone to neuroses, particularly during stressful or traumatic times. Using psychiatric drugs to “treat” depression is more often than not a bandaid approach, and only addresses the biological symptoms of depression rather than the root cause. Instead of addressing nutritional concerns and psychological barriers to personal happiness, many people are doped up on SSRIs, tranquilizers, and similar drugs. Lally led Stony Brook University Wrestling to create their new NCWA program. Muhlenburg has struggled with their wrestling program over the last decade. I won’t be surprised to see Lally leave in a short period of time, unless the college administration makes some changes to how they view and govern the program.

With a title fight 2 weeks away, why are we talking about Conor McGregor? Both Aldo and Mendes would take McGregor apart. I’m not sure who’s marketing McGregor but they are good. I know the UFC is pushing him to grow the sport in Ireland and Europe but his ground skills will undo him against top level competition. Even Jose Also finds it disrespectful that his name is coming up 2 weeks before his fight with Mendes. I almost always root for the guy with a wrestling background, rarely rooting against anyone. I thought McGregor was interesting a year ago, now I’d like to see him get taken apart and embarrassed by Aldo or Medes.
